Everyday Inclusion
Editorial Policy
Everyday Inclusion aims to make information useful, readable and open to checking. Our editorial standards apply to guide text, titles, images, metadata and publication dates.
Start with a reader’s question
A guide must address a distinct problem. We avoid creating multiple articles that offer the same advice with different titles. Length follows the topic; repeated introductions, generic questions and unsupported promises do not count as useful depth.
Sources and original examples
We link relevant sources beside factual claims and provide a Sources section. Government and program-owner pages establish their own rules; manufacturer documentation establishes stated features. Neither is automatically independent evidence of effectiveness. Planning worksheets and illustrative conversations are identified as editorial examples.
Respect and individual differences
We address autistic people themselves as well as families and professionals. We recognise different communication and language preferences. We do not describe one experience as universal or promote a guaranteed cure.
Assisted production and accountability
AI tools may assist drafting, code, layout and editorial illustrations. Their output is not evidence. Factual claims still require source checks, and generated scenes must not be presented as documentary reporting. An editorial-team byline does not imply a professional has reviewed the work.
Dates and archive editions
Some new articles may be assigned an earlier archive edition for catalogue organisation. That label is separate from the date the article first became publicly available on this publication. A source-check date records research activity; a substantive-update date records a meaningful editorial change. We do not use an assigned archive date to imply past publication or review.
Corrections and commercial independence
We correct material errors and explain significant changes. Advertising arrangements, if introduced, must be disclosed and must not decide the conclusions of a guide. See our Corrections Policy and Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure.
